Challenge: Configure a network of laptops to spec with custom hardware and custom software installed
Solutions
Base on the client’s schedule, the minimum amount of units needed at any given time was 80. We created an image with the client’s configuration, software and had an onsite technician ghost the laptops after each training session with only an hour between classes. Each individual trainer would conduct a minimum of three training sessions in four cities. Special shipping boxes were built so one person could easily load and unload the laptops, allowing them to ghost each unit onsite. We would then pick-up the laptops at the end of each period and ship them directly to the next training session, eliminating the client’s need to rent and ship excessive units.
Results
The events went flawlessly and came in significantly under budget; the client has now made us their exclusive rental provider.
